Bonds helps adults organize family relationships, contacts, and reminders. It works without an account or a connection to a Bonds server. This policy explains what information the app uses on your device.

Information you add or import

You can enter names, relationships, phone numbers, email addresses, reminder details, and photos. If you choose to import a person from your device contacts and grant contacts permission, Bonds reads the contact details needed to show search results and fill that person's record. You can use the app without granting contacts permission by entering information yourself. You can also choose a photo using the device's photo picker.

Bonds stores the information you save in its private app database and files on your device. Bonds does not send that database, photos, or device contacts to a Bonds server. It does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics services.

Reminders and other apps

If you enable notifications, Bonds uses local notifications for reminders and may reschedule them after the device restarts. Bonds does not use remote push notifications.

When you choose to call or message a contact, Bonds passes the relevant phone number to the phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or other app you select. Those apps handle the action under their own privacy policies. Opening a project or license link from Bonds similarly opens an external browser.

Backup and retention

Bonds disables Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup for its app data. This does not control backups of contacts or photos stored outside Bonds by your device or other apps. Information saved in Bonds remains on your device until you remove it in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes Bonds' local app data, subject to your device's normal behavior.

Your choices

You can decline or revoke contacts and notification permissions in Android settings. You can edit or remove information you added to Bonds. The app does not offer a server account to delete because it does not operate one.

Children

Bonds is intended for adults organizing family information. It is not designed for children to use independently.
